The Canon Speedlite Transmitter ST-E2 is compatible with Type A EOS cameras (E-TTL, auto flash) and Type B EOS cameras (manual flash). The ST-E2 is designed to control slaved Canon 550 EX flashes, enabling simultaneous flash use in professional settings. The wireless controller has a flash ratio control, allowing for several different A:B ratios, 1:8 to 8:1 in half-step increments, as well as slave confirmation via a test transmission button, which sets off slave A, followed by slave B, at 1/64 output.

Ultra-AF: Improves the assist focus function, the max. focus distance can reach 25 meters.
Access to Camera Menu: This enables you to set the relevant parameter of speedlite through access to camera menu, providing convenient and direct use.
Support Exposure Compensation(FEC): Set the exposure compensation via your camera's menu. You can adjust the power output of the speedlite by using the flash and exposure compensation to make the photography effect meet your requirement.
Supported Exposure Bracketing(FEB): Access to the camera menu to the exposure bracketing function, it can help you to improve the success rate of photography.
Support Group C Flash: You can set the parameters of Group C Flash via your camera's menu.
Modeling Flash: When the button of depth of field on the camera is pressed,it can control the speedlite to send out the modeling flash.
Rotatable: You can control the angle scope of the slave unit through rotaing the camera body ( left and right 135 degree ). This makes it easy to serve the slave unit and meet your multi-angle creative need.
Overheating Protection: If the controller is used too frequently, it's overheating protection function will be triggered, the ETTL and HSS indicator will blink alternatively, and the controller will be locked.
Power saving function: If the controller keep sidle for 2 minutes and then it will step into the dormancy state in order to save power, it will automatically shutdown after keeping idle for 15 minutes.
